  • Dr. Angela Vander Baaren, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Angela Vander Baaren graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie Dental School in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Science from Saint Francis Xavier University, and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

    She is a member of the East Coast Endodontic Study Club where she continues to learn about endodontic techniques with hands-on continuing education.

    Angela was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. She is married to her best friend from high-school and spends her free time running, knitting, and visiting her family in the Annapolis Valley.

  • Dr. Galen Snook, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Snook is a graduate of Dalhousie University receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1981 and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1985.

    Dr. Snook set up practice in the Halifax Shopping Centre in 1986 and has been serving patients in the area for over 20 years. He works cooperatively with his patients to maximize the health, comfort and longevity of their teeth. Proper patient dental care is always his priority.

    Dr. Snook is married with two children, Ben and Ellen. He is a huge hockey fanatic and is active playing gentlemen’s hockey. In the summer, he enjoys spending time at his cottage with family and friends.

  • Dr. Heather Carr, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Carr enjoys providing all aspects of family dentistry to her patients including implants and general dentistry. She is fortunate to work with a great team, and together they strive to provide excellent, comprehensive dental treatment in a caring environment.

    Dr. Carr graduated from Dalhousie Dentistry in 1988 winning the University Medal and a Gold D. She received a Bachelor of Science Honors in Psychology and the University Medal from the University of Kings College in 1984.

    She actively pursues ongoing education including membership in the East Coast Endodontic Study Club and the Canadian Academy of Restorative and Prosthodontic Dentistry. Dr. Carr is Past President and member of the Halifax County Dental Society.

    Dr. Carr has been active in organized Dentistry since entering dental school. She served, as the Nova Scotia member on the Canadian Dental Association Board from 2015 and is a Past-President of the Nova Scotia Dental Association. Her term as NSDA CDA Board Representative ended in April, 2021 when she was elected CDA Vice President. Her term as CDA President begins April, 2023.

    Dr. Carr received the NSDA Volunteer of the Year Award in 2005, the NSDA Award of Excellence in 2015 and the Dr. Philip S. Christie Distinguished Service Award in 2021. She was named a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

    Dr. Carr is a lifelong resident of Fall River and the proud mother of Dr. Chelsea Carr Kinnear (a Chiropractor in Fall River) and Dr. Evan Carr Kinnear (an Associate Dentist at Atlantic Dental Centre). Dr. Carr spends her free time golfing, downhill skiing, enjoying fine arts and travelling with her partner, John. During the summer she kayaks with the Cheema Masters. Dr. Carr is active in the community and is a past executive member of the Cheema Board of Directors.

  • Dr. Suzanne Hamlyn, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Hamlyn was born and raised in Colliers, Newfoundland. She graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie Dental School in 2002, after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary’s University.

    Dr. Hamlyn practiced in Bridgewater from 2002 – 2005 prior to becoming a partner at Atlantic Dental Centre in 2005. She practices a full range of dental services including restorative and cosmetic, with a special interest in orthodontics.

    She holds certificates from International Straightwire Orthodontics and Invisalign and is a member of the International Straightwire study club.

    When not at the office she likes to work out, cook, read, and spend time with her husband Michael and daughter Emma.

  • Dr. Brandon Lee

    General Dentist

    Dr. Brandon Lee, a dedicated dentist, was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He pursued his passion for science and engineering, earning a degree in Material Science and Engineering from Seoul National University in 2005. Dr. Lee then pursued his interest in dentistry, completing his DDS at the Dental School of Seoul National University in 2009.

    With a drive for patient care, Dr. Lee established his own clinic, where he honed his skills and built a reputation for excellence over 10 years in South Korea. Through his extensive experience, he developed a strong confidence in various dental procedures.

    In 2022, Dr. Lee passed the equivalent process to practice dentistry in Canada and obtained his license. He initially practiced as a general practitioner in Vancouver for two years before relocating to Halifax.

    Dr. Lee’s passion for patient communication led him to embrace intraoral photography as a tool to engage and educate his patients, often leaving them pleasantly surprised by the intricate details of their own teeth.

    Committed to providing the best possible care, Dr. Lee continually seeks to expand his skills through various training courses, including Invisalign, wisdom tooth extraction, the latest root canal treatments, and even Botox administration.

    Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Lee is a devoted father to four wonderful sons, cherishing every moment spent playing and bonding with them.

  • Dr. Cayden Lee

    General Dentist

    Dr. Cayden (Ming Hao) Lee is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred dental care.

    Born and raised in Malaysia, Dr. Lee began his dental training at the International Medical University in 2019 and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Dalhousie University in 2024. His diverse training background has equipped him with a broad skill set, enabling him to offer quality care across all areas of dentistry.

    Dr. Lee takes pride in offering a range of dental services, including Invisalign, extractions, root canal treatment, and esthetic dentistry. With a patient-first approach, he ensures that every treatment plan is tailored to each individual’s needs, combining technical precision with a warm, empathetic approach to care. His dedication to continuing education and adopting the latest advancements in dentistry reflects his drive to provide the best outcomes for his patients.

    Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys playing badminton, baking, and experimenting in the kitchen. He also enjoys spending time with his two kittens, Whiskey and Kiwi, who bring joy and energy to his life.
